Western Carolina Rescue Mission
I worked with a team of other students to do pro bono work for Western Carolina Rescue Mission. Below are samples of my work. You can click on any of the images below to view a PDF.
A Homeless Night - Communication Plan
This is the campaign packet my group developed. It documents all aspects of the client’s new event: A Homeless Night.
The packet breaks down every aspect of the purpose of the event, target audiences, recommended tactics and strategies, key messages, a SWOT analysis, and evaluation strategies.
I worked on the following portions of the document: about WCRM, core problem/opportunity, goals and objectives, primary and secondary messages, and campaign strategies and tactics.
Additionally, I combined the information in this easy-to-understand format for the client to use for planning and hosting future events. This allows them to carry out and easily adapt the plan without needing prior event planning or public relations knowledge or experience.

A Homeless Night - Press Release
I drafted a press release for the event, which accompanied the above packet in a selection of samples to be edited and used for future events.
This press release would be used to announce the event to the media, with the goal of gaining print and/or broadcast coverage of the night of the event, that may encourage youth to attend the next year’s event.
A Homeless Night - Social Media Graphic
This is a social media graphic I created the event, which accompanied the above packet in a selection of samples to be edited and used for future events.
This would be used to promote the event across WCRM's platforms, to encourage youth to register for the event.
